Six-to-twelve-year-olds love the lift and the slide, and teenagers like the view. Under three it is free but awkward without the stroller. Pick a clear, dry day or the slide and the outdoor terrace may be shut, with no refund.
Strollers cannot go in the express lifts, so they stay in a parking area in the entrance hall and you carry the baby up. The tower suggests bringing an infant car seat as an alternative. The Donaupark around the base has three playgrounds, which makes this a half day with the park included.
Tips for the visit
- Tickets cost less online than at the tower.
- One adult or senior ticket gives 20% off two to four children's tickets for under-15s.
- Free tickets for under-3s are only issued on site.
- Bus 20A stops at the tower, but the operator describes it as seasonal, so check before relying on it.
