Verdict by age
Not a general rating. How each age band actually experiences it.
Babies and toddlers do well here because nobody has to walk or queue. Older children enjoy the first half hour and get restless in the second. It is a rest stop with a view, and a good one.
Check-in is at the ticket window on Pier 3, on Dvořák Embankment under Čech Bridge, about ten minutes on foot from Old Town Square. The boats are wheelchair-accessible on the main deck. The open upper deck is reached by stairs, so a stroller stays downstairs. Children of 3 to 11 pay a child fare and under-threes sail free.
Tips for the visit
- Book online for a guaranteed seat and 10% off.
- Several companies run similar one-hour cruises from different piers on Dvořák Embankment. Check which pier is printed on your ticket.
- The commentary is an online guide with text, audio and photos, so bring a charged phone and headphones.
