Family card
Verdict by age
Not a general rating. How each age band actually experiences it.
The one place in Copenhagen that keeps a toddler, a seven-year-old and a teenager busy on the same afternoon. With a baby it is a nice walk and not much more. Budget for it: a family of four with ride passes is a serious sum.
The entrance ticket only gets you through the gate. Rides need a Ride Pass on top, and both change price by date, so check the calendar before you promise anything. You can bring your own food, which helps. Tivoli is not open all year: it runs in seasons, with gaps in between.
Tips for the visit
- Children aged 3 to 7 pay the child price. From 8 they pay the adult price, for entrance and for the Ride Pass.
- Pack lunch. Tivoli allows your own food and non-alcoholic drinks in non-glass containers.
- To leave and come back, use the exit by Tivoli Food Hall and ask for a re-entry stamp.
- A lost-child wristband costs 25 DKK and is reusable. Worth it on a crowded evening.
