Museum für Naturkunde with kids

The dinosaur hall is the reason to come, and the skeletons are big enough to hold a small child's attention. Beyond it there are mounted animals, a cosmos and solar system section and the wet collection of specimens preserved in jars, which older children find creepy in a good way.

Children from three to ten are the ones who will talk about it afterwards. It is small enough to finish before anyone melts down. Teenagers enjoy an hour. A baby in a pram is easy here, nothing more.

Prams are allowed. The accessible entrance is to the right of the main door, and a lift goes to the cloakroom, the toilets with baby changing and the exhibition floor. There is a breastfeeding room at the back of the exhibition, a cafe, and a picnic area for your own food. A free digital guide runs on your phone and includes a children's version. Closed on Mondays.

Tips for the visit

  • The family ticket beats single tickets from two adults and one paying child.
  • Your slot gives you one hour to enter. After that you can stay until closing at 6 pm.
  • Bring headphones for the free phone guide.
  • Lockers need a €1 coin or a token. The cloakroom is free.
