Itinerary
3 days in Berlin with kids
Three days at a child's pace, one part of the city per day. Swap day 3 for Gärten der Welt if the weather is warm and your children are under eight.
Day 1
Zoo and Aquarium
- Morning
- Be at Zoo Berlin for 9 am with tickets booked online. Start with the Panda Garden, then work towards the petting zoo and the big playground before the midday crowds.
- Afternoon
- After lunch, move indoors to the Aquarium next door on the combined ticket. An hour is enough: sharks on the ground floor, the crocodile hall upstairs.
- Break
- The Waldschänke restaurant in the zoo sits next to the playground and has a children's menu.
Day 2
Dinosaurs, river and tower
- Morning
- Book the first time slot at the Museum für Naturkunde and go straight to the dinosaur hall. Ninety minutes is plenty for most children.
- Afternoon
- Take the one-hour Spree cruise from the pier near Hackescher Markt, then go up the TV Tower at Alexanderplatz if the sky is clear. Leave the stroller at the tower's cloakroom.
- Break
- The museum has a cafe and a picnic area for your own food. The boat sells drinks and ice cream.
Day 3
Machines and runways
- Morning
- Arrive at the Deutsches Technikmuseum when it opens. Do the locomotive sheds and the aviation floor, then cross to the Science Center Spectrum for the experiments.
- Afternoon
- Head south to Tempelhofer Feld for the last hours of daylight. Bring scooters or a kite and let everyone run.
- Break
- The museum park has a playground and picnic spots, and Café Anhalt is in the main building.
