Verdict by age
Not a general rating. How each age band actually experiences it.
The best value day in Orlando for under-8s, and a relief after the parks. Ages 8 to 10 still find plenty on the upper floors. A teenager will give it an hour or two.
It is far cheaper than any theme park and nobody queues. There are private nursing lounges on Levels 2 and 3 and a cafe that serves from 11 am to 4 pm. The centre is closed on Wednesdays outside local school breaks. Parking in the garage costs $4 an hour. Strollers rent for $5 at the Admissions Desk.
Tips for the visit
- Buy online and save $3 a ticket.
- Start in KidsTown while the little ones are fresh, then work upwards.
- The cafe closes its kitchen at 4 pm, so eat before then.
- Pair it with Lake Eola Park, a short drive south, for an easy non-park day.
