Family card
Verdict by age
Not a general rating. How each age band actually experiences it.
For ages 6 and up this can beat Disney, and teenagers usually prefer it. For a three or four-year-old it is an expensive day with a lot of watching. With a baby, go only if the older children are the reason.
Universal lets you bring snacks, baby food, water and formula into the parks. There are nursing stations in each park, and every restroom has a changing space, including the family restrooms. Child Swap works on the big rides: one adult waits in a dedicated room with the small child, then swaps. Strollers can be rented, and they stay outside each attraction.
Tips for the visit
- Measure your children before you buy. Height decides most of this park.
- Bring a light layer for the baby. The Child Swap rooms are air-conditioned and cold.
- Guest Services hands out a free First Visit button.
- Restaurants have high chairs. Park the stroller outside and ask for a table with space.
