For fans aged about seven and up it is the highlight of the trip. For under-6s it is too long, and with a baby you will be carrying for hours. Skip it unless an older sibling insists.
It takes most of a day. Trains run from London Euston to Watford Junction in about 20 minutes, then a shuttle bus included in the ticket takes around 15 minutes more. Space inside is tight, so the venue asks you to leave pushchairs in the free cloakroom where possible. Tickets are dated and timed, so book as early as you can if this is the reason for the trip.
Tips for the visit
- Oyster cards are accepted on the train between London Euston and Watford Junction.
- Shuttle buses run at least every 30 minutes from 9:20.
- Coats and bags can go in the cloakroom free of charge.
