Telecabine Lisboa with kids

A line of small cabins runs along the Tagus waterfront in Parque das Nações, with the river on one side and the Vasco da Gama bridge ahead. Children get a window, a bit of height and a view of boats. Each cabin takes up to eight people, children included.

Three-to-ten-year-olds get the most from it. A baby can come along free and will not mind. For teenagers it is pleasant and over quickly.

It is a short ride, so treat it as a 20-minute treat and not a half-day plan. A one-way ticket is enough if you are happy to walk back along the flat riverside promenade, which works well with a stroller or a scooter. Eating and drinking in the cabin is not allowed, apart from water.

Tips for the visit

  • Buy one way and walk back along the river if the children still have energy.
  • Tickets do not expire, but they are not refunded.
  • Bring ID for children. The operator can ask for it to confirm the child fare.
