Benfica Stadium and Museum with kids

If your child follows football, this is the visit they will ask for. The stadium tour takes you into the stands and behind the scenes, and the museum next door is self-guided with staff on hand. The club recommends at least an hour and a half for either one, longer for both.

A football-mad child of seven or more will rate this above the castle. Teenagers too. For under-5s it is a long walk around a building, and for a baby there is nothing.

If nobody in the family cares about football, skip it. On match days the museum is closed and the stadium visit is restricted. The club says both venues have lifts for visitors with reduced mobility. It does not publish a stroller policy or child prices on the pages we checked, so confirm before you book.

Tips for the visit

  • Check the Benfica fixture list first. The museum closes on home match days.
  • The two official pages we read showed different public prices, so confirm the price at checkout.
  • Closed on 25 December and 1 January.
