Family card
Verdict by age
Not a general rating. How each age band actually experiences it.
From about 7, with the family booklet in hand, children cope well for an hour and a half. Ages 3 to 5 tire of looking without touching. A baby in a stroller is no trouble here, and teenagers who like history can take the full visit.
On practical matters it is better set up than most museums of its size. Strollers are welcome, there are lifts on all floors, you can borrow a buggy for free and there is a changing table near the restrooms. Backpack carriers are not allowed inside. Everyone needs a booked start time, children with free tickets included.
Tips for the visit
- Book the free tickets for children along with yours. No slot, no entry.
- Small bags up to A4 size only. The cloakroom is free and staffed.
- The cafe has kids' meals, and a picnic area opens at weekends.
- Choose this or the Van Gogh Museum for one day. Both in a row is too much for most children.
