Verdict by age
Not a general rating. How each age band actually experiences it.
Great from about 6, when they can handle the slopes themselves. Fine at 3 to 5 if you keep to the short route. With a baby use a carrier, because pushing a stroller uphill here is a workout.
The catch is the terrain. The park's own site says its irregular paths and steep ramps can make the visit difficult, and it suggests two easier routes: about 50 minutes for the main Gaudí areas and 20 minutes for the viaduct path. Follow the first with small children and stop there. Bring water. The park itself tells visitors to stay hydrated and plan around the hottest hours.
Tips for the visit
- The Bus Güell shuttle from Alfons X metro is included in your ticket, both ways, and takes 15 minutes.
- The park advises against Vallcarca metro: the outdoor escalators on that side are out of service.
- Tickets are personal, named and cannot be cancelled. You can change the date up to the day before.
- No re-entry once you walk out.
