Explora Children's Museum with kids

Explora is a play museum where everything is meant to be touched: water tables, a child-sized shop, building and science stations. Exhibits carry age symbols and children move between them freely while you follow. Nothing is guided and you do not need Italian.

Great from three to ten. Crawlers and toddlers have enough to do for one session. Eleven-year-olds will feel too old for it.

Visits run in four fixed sessions a day, each 1 hour 45 minutes, starting at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00. That is the right length. Children arrive, play hard and leave before they fall apart. It is all step-free with lifts, stroller parking, low toilets for children and changing tables. The cafe is closed for renovation, so there are vending machines and a water fountain only. Eat before or after.

Tips for the visit

  • Closed on Mondays.
  • If you arrive late the lost time is not made up, and you cannot leave and come back in.
  • Thursday (non-holiday) tickets are €8 for all ages.
  • The outdoor playground in front is free and open to everyone.
