Verdict by age
Not a general rating. How each age band actually experiences it.
Ages 6 and up will call it the best day of the trip. Three to five year olds have enough to do but the travel and the size of the park wear them out. With a baby it is a long, hot day for little reward.
Getting there without a car means the Cercanías C-3 train to Pinto and then bus 413 to the gate, or one of the entry plus bus packages the park sells from Méndez Álvaro and Príncipe Pío. That journey is what makes it tiring for under-4s. If your children are small, the Parque de Atracciones in Casa de Campo gives you most of the fun for a fraction of the travel.
Tips for the visit
- Never buy at the gate. The online price is close to half.
- Parking booked online starts at €16.
- Bring hats and water in summer. Shade is thin on the main avenues.
