For football fans from 6 up it is the highlight of Madrid. Under-5s get stairs and glass cases. Skip it entirely with a baby unless one adult is happy to wait outside.
The club states that the route includes numerous staircases, so it is a poor fit for babies and tired 3 year olds. The pitch is often stored underground between matches and the dressing rooms close on match days and the day before, so check the fixture list. Children pay from age 5.
Tips for the visit
- On match days the tour closes five and a half hours before kick-off.
- Check Metro Line 10 before you go. The tourism office reported a partial closure near the stadium with a replacement bus.
- Open daily except 25 December and 1 January.
